RETORT
Retort is a processing method that uses heat and pressure to sterilize food. It is one of the most commonly used methods of thermal food processing and is popular with food producers across the world. Retort consists of trays in which packaged food is kept. Then these products are exposed to the sterilizing temperature mainly by applying steam, high-pressure compressed air, and water for sterilizing and cooling the products, respectively.
Simultaneously the steam valve opens and the steam is introduced into the retort through the steam spreader on the bottom of the retort directly heating that process water spraying from nozzles and making the temperature inside retort evenly. Retort processing consists of sterilizing, pasteurizing, or cooking a product (and its packaging) so it's both safe and of high quality.
The food is first prepared, either raw or cooked, and then sealed into the retort pouch / cans / bottles The sealed pouch can also be re-heated in hot water or in a microwave before consumption.
The pouch is then heated to 240-250 °F (116-121 °C) for several minutes under high pressure inside a retort or autoclave machine. The food inside is cooked in a similar way to pressure cooking.
We are manufacturer of Retort machines with different types of sizes & specifications as per customer’s requirement.
